Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Steve Hebert shooting Give Me Sight
Steve Hebert
Owner, DirectorSteve took over the helm of Curious Pixel in 2013. His background as a photojournalist and filmmaker is what drives the company's focus on human stories. He grew up in Kansas and has reported on everything from farming to America's post-9/11 wars.
Over twenty years of professional work for newspapers and magazines including ProPublica, Time, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Street Journal. He is one of the only photojournalists granted access to embed with U.S. Army Green Berets in Afghanistan, Iraq, Colombia, and the Philippines.
He co-produced the hour-long documentary Give Me Sight, awarded Best Documentary Feature at the Oregon International Film Awards. His work has always sought to lift the voices of those not heard, and to bring viewers to places they may never go.
